Update on November/December...

So, we have been traveling yet again to make some extra money before the Christmas season so I don't have any pictures to post :( For Thanksgiving this year we went up to Taylor to visit my mom and family. We had a lot of fun in the short time we were there. For Christmas this year we are going to be going to Casey's mom's house to spend it with them. Kind of an update as to what's going on in our life... I have 2... count them 2 MORE MONTHS till I can finally be a non preggo anymore :) I am officially 30 weeks pregnant today and can't breath, walk, pick up ANYTHING, and the heartburn hurts so bad sleep is now becoming an issue. It is just true misery and for all of you that have been pregnant you know what I mean. Luckily, I have been trying to go to the gym every day and doing the stair stepper to get a good sweat in and feel like I am somewhat working on my body (remember I got pregnant right after I had Kai lol) I am very excited to hold Noah in my arms. I was thinking about him today and Kai and how even though Kai is just over 10 months, I miss him being my little baby who is so helpless. Speaking of Kai, he is now WALKING almost fully. He still falls every once in a while but for the most part walks everywhere. He has been sick but is now starting to get over it :) He is seriously the happiest baby I have ever met, and I get told that a lot too. He is constantly smiling and NEVER cries unless he bumps his head, or is sick :(. He goes right to sleep with no problems and loves giving kisses. He truly has the sweetest spirit and is my little angel. Casey is doing really well in his job. He is gone about 2 weeks out of the month but gets to take two weeks off with me too which is really nice and i do love with when he's home so he can help me out since moving is no longer becoming an option for me. He works hard to support our family which even tho can be very hard and difficult sometimes it's truly a blessing. He is planning to take off about 6 weeks after Noah is born. Kai and I came out to Texas with him for this last week because we have decided we missed him too much and its nice seeing him after he gets off work and being able to go to dinner with him :) Well, that's all that's new in the Iverson household!!

LIFE LESSONS

My sister-in-law Jennifer sent me this. I found it very inspirational and thought I would share!

"To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 45 lessons life taught me.
It is the most-requested column I've ever written.
My odometer rolled over to 90 in August, so here is the column once more:

1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.

3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

4. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and parents will. Stay in touch.

5. Pay off your credit cards every month.

6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.

8. It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it.

9. Save for retirement starting with your first pay check.

10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.

11. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.

12. It's OK to let your children see you cry.

13. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it.

15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don't worry --- God never blinks.

16. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.

17. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.

18. Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you stronger.

19. It's never too late to have a happy childhood. But the second one is up to you and no one else.

20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take no for an answer.

21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don't save it for a special occasion --- today is special.

22. Over prepare, then go with the flow.

23. Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple.

24. The most important sex organ is the brain.

25. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.

26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words, “In five years, will this matter?”

27. Always choose life.

28. Forgive everyone everything.

29. What other people think of you is none of your business.

30. Time heals almost everything. Give it time.

31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.

32. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

33. Believe in miracles.

34. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn't do.

35. Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.

36. Growing old beats the alternative --- dying young.

37. Your children get only one childhood.

38. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.

39. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.

40. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we'd grab ours back.

41. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.

42. The best is yet to come.

43. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up, and show up.

44. Yield.

45. Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift.

Friends are the family we choose for ourselves.

The regrets of yesterday belong to yesterday.

Creating the space to allow others into your heart means letting go of old issues.

Wow, school spirit like never before......

So today is Friday. And EVERYONE in Midland Texas knows that when it's friday, it's high school football game day. And today is not like any other friday... it's the permian (Friday Night Lights team for all you who don't know) vs. midland lee game... the two rivals. I always thought I had school spirit until this morning when I realized that it didn't get better than midland lee's. We were all three awoken at 6:30 A.M.!! Let me remind you we went to sleep around 1 a.m. At 6:30 A.M. this morning we hear the sound of drums.... LOUD LOUD DRUMS.... followed by trumpets, and flutes, and trombones, and every other band instrument you can think of playing their school theme music... LLLOOOUUUDDD. To the point our walls were shaking...... At 6:30 A.M.!! Some person across the street, across the field, inside a neighborhood decided to paly their school band CD possibly as loud as I have ever heard anything and for a half hour at that. At first I was mad that we had all woken up so early but after awhile thought it was funny when we started seeing cars from our apartment complex drive over there. Luckily we fell back to sleep. And even more exciting is that we are going to the game tonight and we bought perinian shirts at last weeks game so I am wearing mine all day. I hope the game is as exciting as the day has started out to be. GO PERMIAN!!! Blackout ;)

Halloween Costume Shopping!!!

We are trying to think of a theme for Halloween. Casey and I decided that we would pick a costume for Kai and fit around it. Here are some of the costumes he tried on. I like the dragon one the best and Casey likes the monkey.

Pregnant again?!?!

Yes, It's true. When Kai was 3 months old we found out we were having another one! Totally unexpected yet we are very happy! We found out on October 1st we are having another little boy! Looks like I won't be having any girls in the family anytime soon besides princess. Ha. When I found out I was pregnant I just text Casey... lol, traditional I know. But we kind of thought we were anyways. His due date is Feb. 26th 2010! 2 days before Kai's was supposed to be (Feb 28th 2009) They will be almost a year apart exactly. Take the poll to see how we should spell his name.
The Result.....
The outcome....

Kais 7 months old!

Well, this is a little late on the update considering he turns 8 months here in a couple days... but here are some pictures of him when he was 7 months old. Yes, he can sit up and yes, he can crawl. He eats at the table now and stands up on anything he can pull him self up on. He now has his own ducky bath tub "his big boy tub" that quacks. Its his favorite thing in the world! Even when hes not bathing he is climbing on the tub to try and get in. When everyone said they grew so fast, I didn't know how fast they meant.

We were lucky enough to spend valentines day with them at The Cracker Barrel! It was a great night out! Caseys mom and sister were a great help too! They helped with cleaning and cooking and Amy was a saint and did everyones hair! We finished off their stay out here at Texas Roadhouse. Thanks you guys for all your love and support!

My Labor Story

The morning before I was supposed to be induced my doctor told me I had to go in that night to get cervadil, a medicine that softens your cervix. Me and casey went out for our last day of shopping and then home to clean and pack. We were off to the hospital and I started freaking out. Ever since I was little I had a huge fear of dying during labor so this is something I was definitely NOT looking forward too. We went in and the nurse was all about C-Sections so everything she was saying about regular births was freaking me out even more. She opted for a C-Sec the next morning, due to my size and the size of the baby and the simple fact I was too small, and I almost took her up on it. Luckily, Casey convinced me not to. Two nurses then came in and hooked me up on my IV and took my blood pressure etc. I started crying and freaking out even more because I was so scared. This caused the babys heart rate to shoot to 195! And it wouldn't go down because my nerves were going everywhere! They made me turn to my side and gave me medicine to help calm me down and Casey helped cam me down also. After the nurses left I got to take a nice shower and relax. The next morning the doctor came in and checked me. I was dilated to a 2. He decided to break my water at 7am. This was a weird feeling let me tell you! The doctor then came in and gave me an epidural right away! This actually wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. My body immediately started to go numb! I then got a catheter ( which by the way was the most AMAZING thing :) ) And I started dilating rapidly! at 1pm I was dilated to a 7! The nurse said she would wait a half hour and check again. I started to feel my contractions through my epidural but they still weren't that bad. Just felt like tightening! She came back at 1:23 and said... "Well your dilated to a 10! Lets start pushing!" It was soooo sureal! I looked at Casey and said ALRIGHT! LETS GET THIS KID OUT! Then I started pushing! I couldn't feel anything and it was almost funny because I was pushing SO hard and was SO out of breath but it didn't hurt at all. I was laying there thinking... THIS IS LABOR? This is easy! Minus the fact I feel like I am running a 10k and you people won't let me stop to breath! He finally started to come out but the nurse made me stop pushing because the doc. wasn't in the room yet. 5 min later the doc showed up and boom! Little Kai was here!! I only pushed for 45 min luckily but thankfully for the epidural labor was a breeze! Kai was born at 2:17pm weighing at 7.2 pounds and 20.5 inches long. Casey was AMAZING support throughout it all and I couldn't have done it without him by my side. The next day we got a nice steak dinner for two and were released 24 hrs after delivery!!

Laura's Visit

One of my best friends Laura took a trip out to meet little Kai! She was here for about 4 days. S
he was such a great help cleaning and washing my dogs! I appreciated it :) We also got a GREAT tour by yours truly of good ol Lubbock TX when I decided to get us lost looking for the theater for 45 min. And then proceed to run out of gas later that night when we went to return the tickets :) Sorry Laura!! We had a lot of fun tho.
